- New Survey Of CEOs Finds Enhancing Corporate Reputation Is Number One Demonstration Of Leadership
October 29, 2004
For thirty plus years, Capgemini has collaborated with some of the world’s leading companies to help improve their business practices. The advisors and consultants of Capgemini work with our client companies to create new opportunities for growth, minimize risk, and spark innovation. Together—Capgemini and our clients—peer over the horizon to identify trends, technologies and practices that will become the benchmarks for tomorrow’s business success and leadership.
It is in this spirit that Capgemini helped launch the CNBC/Wall Street Journal 2004 CEO Awards to recognize and honor America’s leading CEOs. Chell Smith, Capgemini’s North American CEO, was selected to present awards in the two categories in which Capgemini has established a leadership role worldwide: Leadership in Business Practices and Future Business Leadership.
To demonstrate its innovative approach to business consulting, Capgemini developed and conducted a pulse survey at the awards dinner. Over 100 senior executives provided their opinions on the state of executive leadership when they entered the awards hall. In a vivid demonstration of the power of collaboration, Capgemini staff tabulated the results in time for Chell Smith to include them in her remarks.
The executives learned that, in their opinion, corporate leadership can drive innovation, increased sales, stock price valuations, and better relationships with customers and suppliers. Nearly half of them (47%) said “enhancing corporate reputation” was the number one demonstration of leadership by a new CEO. Read more about the opinions of executive leadership in the full results.
