Our Values

A community of human beings which necessarily confronts obstacles and difficulties every day is even more united, more efficient and more welcoming if it also shares a certain number of common values. Capgemini has successfully grown by cultivating a spirit which has shaped the Group's operating principles and its procedures and which has orientated the recruitment of employees towards men and women likely to share those values.

“I became a consultant because I couldn’t visualize solving different variations of the same problem in one company at one location for the rest of my life. Solving problems across four different industry verticals, including three iconic American brands, in fourteen cities across three continents over twelve years, confirmed Capgemini as the right career choice for me. ”

Capgemini has seven fundamental values which are as follows (not necessarily in order of importance):

  • Honesty, that is at the same time integrity, sincerity, a sense of honor, respect for a person's word and for commitments made, together with a refusal of any dishonest methods used to facilitate gaining of a contract or a particular benefit.
  • Boldness, that is a taste for undertaking things, to like taking risks and to enjoy competing, constant questioning of directions taken and of the circumstances in which we find ourselves. A boldness which should go hand in hand with a certain wisdom, without which the audacious entrepreneur would in actual fact be just a dangerous daredevil.
  • Trust, that is the wish to give people and teams responsibility and to make sure that decisions are made as close as possible to those who are to implement them. Trust also consists in ensuring total openness amongst people within the company and as free a flow of information and ideas as possible.
  • Freedom, that is independence of mind, of judgement, of action, the spirit of initiative and creativity, as well as tolerance and respect of others, of their culture, of their habits. This independence of judgement and of counsel without any doubt provides our clients with an essential guarantee.
  • Team spirit, that is solidarity, friendship, loyalty, transparency. This solidarity, necessary if we are to work efficiently with our clients, also implies generosity and the sharing of the fruits of a collective labor.
  • Modesty, that is the opposite of pretentiousness, arrogance and affectedness. Modesty means discretion, spontaneity, frank relations.
  • Fun, finally, the last and perhaps the most surprising of these seven values: it is the feeling one gets when proud of what one does and when achieving something in the never-ending search for top quality. It is also a special sense of conviviality.
