Life Balance Programs and Policies

Fostering an environment that respects and allows for balance between work and home is also important. Capgemini offers an array of programs and policies designed to support our people and their families throughout their careers. All of our programs and policies include same sex domestic partners and benefit coverage is available for domestic partners.

Our employee assistance program provides professional help with personal and family issues and dependent care concerns such as childcare, parenting, education and elder care. The program offers ongoing assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for employees and their family members. Information, resources and referrals are available on-line or by phone for child care needs, parenting and elder/disabled care situations, emotional, chemical dependency and stress-related concerns, fitness and wellness interests, legal, financial and tax concerns, marriage, family and relationship problems or other counseling needs, as well as resources for everyday issues like pet care or house-sitting.

Our other life balance programs and policies include:

  • Adoption Assistance: reimbursement for up to $5,000 in costs associated with adopting a child ($6,000 if the child has special needs)
  • Employee Discount Program: all employees may take advantage of discounts arranged by the company, including special programs with client companies who offer our staff preferred terms on computers, appliances and other major purchases
  • Family Sick Days: allows each staff member to take up to five days off per year to care for a sick spouse, domestic partner, child, parent or grandparent or other close family member
  • Leaves of Absence: 16 weeks of Family and Medical Leave or up to 52 weeks of Personal Leave as well as bereavement and military leaves
  • Paid Time Off: we work hard and need time to play too! Capgemini offers a competitive package of paid vacation, holidays and personal days as well as paid sick leave
