Certifications

Below are our certification programs.

Engagement Manager Certification

This certification program is central to our plans for delivery management. It is clear that without a significant commitment to the development of our delivery management capability, Capgemini will not succeed in reaching its strategic goals for the year. This program is the vehicle for the necessary investment in you and your colleagues. Certification through this program will become the standard for all staff with aspirations to manage responsibility engagements in Capgemini.

The program sets a challenging benchmark for certification, but also provides supporting training and clear definitions to allow you to perform a self assessment, and build a development program where required. Your participation will demand commitment and personal sacrifice. However, we firmly believe that being in the vanguard of this strategic change will position you well for the future.

System Architect Certification

The primary objective of the Architecture Certification program is to enable Capgemini worldwide to provide and market a first-class Service Offer in Architecture Design. The certification process is designed to provide a set of objective rules and standards which can be applied throughout Capgemini so that the definitions of Architect levels are globally consistent. The Certification process for Capgemini Architects was conceived by the Certification Stream of the International Architects Workgroup (IAW). The IAW defined 5 levels of Capgemini Architect as follows: Global, Enterprise, Stream, Core, and Potential. For each of these levels the rules, requirements, and process for certification are clearly defined. The Capgemini Architect is defined as: "A design professional [or consultant] working in the IT industry who synergistically combines business acumen with broad technical knowledge and experience to intermediate between the business and the project. By creating high-level solution designs they help organizations achieve their business vision by the effective use and deployment of IT and business change."

Vendor Certifications

The trend toward technical certification within the computer industry is growing. Many programs already exist, such as the Novell Certified NetWare Engineer (CNE) and Certified NetWare Administrator (CNA) credentials, the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Certified Microsoft Office User programs, Cisco Certified Design Associate, and others.

In order to provide our clients with the most current skills and to satisfy our employee's desire to grow in their careers, Capgemini encourages its employees to pursue vendor certification. Our strong relationships with professional IT companies like Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM among others, ensures you get only the best training - guaranteed to map exactly to the tests you'll take to get certified.
