The Creative Process Model provides a framework for understanding the unique approach to problem-solving in the ASE. This approach can be uncomfortable at times, as groups yearn to engineer and build the compelling vision of the future they develop in the early stages of the session.

This impulse is resisted in order to test multiple options from diverse vantage points and explore the details that will bring areas of conflict to the surface. Although this stage of the process is full of ambiguity and turmoil, it is where participants build the personal ownership and commitment that will generate a collective intent to act. This intent leads to a synthesis of all of the preceding work, which brings the creative process into focus and unleashes group energy for breakthrough thinking and high-powered solution design.
