Capgemini Energy Opens Its Doors for Business, Announces Leadership Team

June 30, 2004 - Dallas, TX

Capgemini Energy LP (“Capgemini Energy”), a collaborative venture of Capgemini America Inc. (“Capgemini”) and TXU Corp. (“TXU”) and its subsidiaries, including TXU Energy and TXU Electric Delivery, will begin operations on Thursday, July 1, with a complete leadership structure drawn from both parent companies, capable of serving regulated and competitive companies in the U.S. utility industry. Capgemini Energy will initially provide business process services and information technology solutions to TXU, with plans to offer similar services to other energy companies.

Last month, Capgemini Energy was formed as part of a 10-year deal to provide information technology, call center, billing, human resources, supply chain and accounts payable, and finance and accounting services to TXU and other energy companies.

Executive Team Brings Breadth & Depth of Industry Experience to Market

Capgemini Energy selected Bob Pryor, who previously served for four years as North American President of Outsourcing Services for Capgemini, as Chief Executive Officer. In addition, Capgemini Energy announced that Elizabeth Lavalley, who most recently served as TXU’s Senior Vice President of Information Technology, will join the limited partnership as Chief Operating Officer.

Pryor brings 20 years of experience in information technology and transformation services at EDS and Capgemini to his new role as CEO, and has worked with utilities in the U.S. and Canada over the course of his career in a variety of sales and operational leadership positions. In his previous role, Pryor was responsible for sales and marketing, service delivery, human resources, risk management, finance and administration for a team of 2,500 people.

Prior to joining TXU Business Services in 1997, Lavalley was the Chief Information Officer of AT&T’s Business Markets division, and she also held senior management positions at Sprint and MCI prior to joining AT&T. Each of the six service areas of Capgemini Energy will report to Lavalley.

Other Capgemini Energy executive appointments include:

  • Amin Bishara, Capgemini Energy Business Development and Marketing leader. Bishara was formerly a Vice President and Utility Sales Leader at Capgemini. Bishara has spent three decades serving the utility industry, including his time as CEO of PTS Technical Services, an Inc. 500 company.
  • Mark Fronmuller, Capgemini Energy Program Management Officer. Fronmuller will be responsible for the transition, work in progress and transformation agenda for the new company and will serve as the liaison back to Capgemini. Fronmuller was formerly a Vice President and U.S. Utility Practice Leader for Capgemini
